Blackbird & Sage creates handcrafted copper and gemstone jewelry for women who value natural beauty, quiet intention, and slow living.

Each piece is made by hand in my small studio, slowly shaped with care and chosen for its grounding presence. Inspired by the seasons, the earth, and ancient ways of being, this is jewelry that honors your connection to the natural world.

How It's Made

Every piece begins with raw materials: natural gemstones, textured copper, sterling silver, brass, and bronze.

I work slowly, shaping each design by hand using traditional metalsmithing techniques. Stones are carefully set. Edges are left organic. Patinas develop naturally over time.

The process is intentional. The result is jewelry that feels authentic, textured, and made—not manufactured.

The Materials

I work with natural gemstones chosen for their beauty and gentle meaning.

Raw amethyst for calm. Labradorite for presence. Moonstone for intuition and lunar connection. Turquoise for grounding.

Each stone carries its own energy—not in a mystical sense, but in the way natural materials simply feel right. They're reminders. Small anchors. Pieces of the earth you can wear every day.

Metals are chosen for warmth and wearability: copper that develops a living patina, sterling silver that layers beautifully, brass and bronze that age with character.

ROOTED IN HONESTY

Integrity is the foundation of our work. Every design, every crystal, and every flame of the torch is part of an honest process rooted in respect for the Earth and for you. When you wear Blackbird & Sage, you can trust that your jewelry was made with transparency, care, and purpose.

Stone Sourcing & Variations

We select natural stones for their character—color banding, inclusions, and shape variations are normal and part of the magic. No two pieces are identical. We photograph representative stones and note if a listing is one-of-a-kind.

On request, we can send selection photos before we set your stone.

Handmade Process

Each piece is handcrafted in small batches in Santa Fe, NM. Electroforming builds a copper shell around organic textures; our silversmithing and bronze work are fabricated by hand—sawn, soldered, filed, and finished in-house.

Small tool marks may be visible and are a hallmark of handmade quality.

Lead Times & Shipping

Ready-to-ship pieces leave in 1–3 business days. Made-to-order pieces typically ship in 5–7 business days (we’ll note exceptions on the product page).

Allergies, Coatings & Wear

All ear wires and posts are nickel-free. Copper and bronze may develop a natural patina; we apply a protective seal where appropriate, but patina change over time is expected with wear. If you are highly sensitive, choose sterling or gold-fill options when available.

Care & Repairs

Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, heavy exercise, or applying lotions. Store pieces dry and separate. Use a soft cloth (no dips) on silver or gold-fill; avoid abrasive polishing on patinated copper.

We offer repairs and re-sealing/patina refresh—just reach out with a photo.

Sustainability & Packaging

We keep waste low with small-batch production, reuse clean packing materials when possible, and ship in recyclable packaging. Our gift boxes are paper-based and ready to recycle or reuse.

Returns & Exchanges
