✦ Meet The Maker

Hi, I'm Marie Tengren-Knight.

I've been making jewelry by hand since 2016, working from a small studio in Santa Fe where the light is warm and the pace is slow. Blackbird & Sage started as an experiment—copper electroforming, raw crystals, and a curiosity about how metal and stone could hold meaning. What began as play became a practice. And that practice became a business rooted in craft, natural materials, and quiet intention.

Every piece is made by hand. I work with raw and polished gemstones, textured copper, brass, bronze, and silver—materials chosen for their natural beauty and grounding presence. The process is slow. The work is meditative. And each piece is designed to bring a little calm, connection, and natural beauty into everyday life.

I believe jewelry should feel like a gentle reminder. Something you reach for because it fits your life, layers effortlessly, and helps you feel steady. I'm interested in timeless design, honest craft, and pieces that honor your connection to the natural world without complication.

My customers are thoughtful, grounded women who value handmade over mass-produced. They're busy, emotionally aware, and drawn to meaning—but they want it accessible. They shop with intention, and buy jewelry as reminders. They tell me my work feels alive, like something unearthed from another time. That it helps them feel present, calm, and rooted.

That's exactly what I'm here to create.

Thank you for supporting small-batch, studio-made jewelry. I'm grateful you're here.
