Amethyst

Purple quartz, colored by iron impurities and natural irradiation. One of the most widely used sacred stones across cultures and centuries. Associated with calm, clarity, and protection of the mind. The ancient Greeks believed it prevented intoxication — the name comes from the Greek for not drunk. Used in religious contexts from ancient Egypt to medieval Europe. Wear it when you need to keep your head clear in chaotic environments.

Labradorite

A feldspar mineral with a phenomenon called labradorescence — an iridescent optical effect caused by light interference between microscopic layers within the stone. The colors shift as the stone moves: blue, green, gold, sometimes violet. Found primarily in Labrador, Canada, where it was first described in 1770. Associated with intuition, psychic protection, and the strengthening of the inner life against external influence. One of the most visually striking stones we work with.

Black Tourmaline

A boron silicate mineral that forms in long striated rods. One of the most widely used protective stones across traditions worldwide. Associated with energetic boundaries, grounding, and protection from external stress and negative energy. Relatively durable for everyday wear, though raw rod ends can chip on hard impact.

Fluorite

Calcium fluoride, occurring in a wide range of colors — purple, green, blue, clear, and multicolored banded varieties. One of the most structurally ordered minerals, forming perfect cubic and octahedral crystals. Associated with mental clarity, focus, and the clearing of confusion and psychic clutter. The banded purple and green varieties are particularly striking in raw form.

Iolite

A magnesium iron aluminum silicate, also known as water sapphire for its blue-violet color. One of the few strongly pleochroic gemstones — it shows different colors (blue, grey, yellow) depending on the angle of light. Used historically by Viking navigators as a polarizing filter to locate the sun on overcast days. Associated with inner vision, clear direction, and the ability to navigate uncertainty.

Materials and Care

All pieces are set in electroformed copper or wire-wrapped brass, handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Remove before water and chemicals. Store dry. Copper develops a natural patina over time.
