It is chosen for its rich purple tones, its raw crystalline form, and its grounding quality. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a clear, steady meaning that fits real life.
Raw Amethyst Ring: Materials & Specifications
Stone: Natural raw amethyst, approximately 10–15mm, deep purple with natural inclusions. Each stone is unique.
Metal: Electroformed copper.
Finish: Bright Copper (warm, polished shine) or Antique Copper (aged patina, earthy depth).
Band: Organic texture, varies by design.
Size: Custom sized for you, US 5–9 including half sizes, plus Custom.
Origin: Handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
How This Handmade Gemstone Ring Is Made
Each raw amethyst ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. Copper grows directly around the stone through an electrical electroforming process, preserving its natural raw form and crystalline character. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every ring is one of a kind.
Sizing
Select your US ring size at checkout (sizes 5–9 including half sizes available). For a custom size, select Custom and note your size in the order. Between sizes? Size up for comfort. Need help? Email hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com and I'll guide you through it.
Care
Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store dry. Polish with a soft cloth to maintain shine (Bright finish) or let the patina deepen naturally (Antique finish). Amethyst is durable (Mohs 7) — treat gently to preserve the raw stone setting. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade amethyst's purple color over time.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
