This large agate slice bangle carries a single window of banded stone on a band you can feel the hammer marks in. Agate has been worn for thousands of years as a steadying presence, a reminder that stability is something built in layers rather than found all at once. It sits at the pulse point, where you catch it a dozen times a day without meaning to, and it becomes the thing you turn to your wrist when a room gets loud. For anyone who wants their calm within sight, not tucked under a collar.
Agate is associated with balance, grounding, and emotional steadiness. Root chakra. Wear it when you need to feel settled in your own skin.
Why Agate
Agate is a banded variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz that forms slowly inside volcanic cavities as silica-rich water deposits layer after layer over long stretches of time. Those visible bands are a record of changing mineral content, which is why no two slices repeat. Iron and manganese traces give agate its warm greys, honeys, rusts, and soft translucence, and it reads best as a slice, where light passes through and the layering becomes legible. Found worldwide, with Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, and the American west among the best known sources. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.
Large Agate Slice Bangle: Materials & Specifications
- Stone: large natural agate slice, banded, translucent, polished face with the natural edge left visible. Set in an electroformed copper bezel that grips the stone on all sides.
- Metal: copper, hand hammered across the band for a faceted texture that catches light, with an electroformed organic texture around the bezel. Antique copper finish.
- Construction: fully enclosed continuous bangle. Slips over the hand and sits loose on the wrist.
- Weight: approximately 3 oz
- Origin: Handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
How to Size Your Bangle
A bangle is a closed circle, so it has to pass over your hand rather than wrap around your wrist. Measure your hand, not your wrist. Tuck your thumb into your palm as if you were slipping the bangle on, wrap a soft tape measure or a strip of paper around the widest part of your hand, and compare that measurement to the inner circumference below. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one. Slim wrists often need a larger bangle than expected, and that is completely normal.
- Small: 2.25 in / 57 mm inner diameter, about 7 in / 179 mm inner circumference
- Medium: 2.5 in / 63 mm inner diameter, about 7.75 in / 198 mm inner circumference
- Large: 2.75 in / 70 mm inner diameter, about 8.5 in / 220 mm inner circumference
- Extra large: 3 in / 76 mm inner diameter, about 9.4 in / 239 mm inner circumference
- Custom size: choose this option and add your hand measurement in the order notes at checkout
This bangle is meant to sit loose and move a little as you do. It does not open, adjust, or clasp.
How This Handmade Agate Bangle Is Made
Each agate slice is hand selected for banding, translucence, and the way it takes the light before it ever reaches the bench. The copper band is formed into a closed circle and hammered by hand, so the facets fall differently every time. The bezel is then electroformed, a slow process where copper is deposited onto the stone over many hours until it holds fast with an organic, grown texture. Nothing here is cast or mass produced, and each bangle is one of a kind.
A Note on Stone Variation
Agate is a natural stone, so the banding, color, and translucence of your slice will differ from the one photographed. You are receiving a piece with the same character and quality, not an identical twin. That variation is the point.
Care
Agate is durable but not indestructible, so avoid hard impacts, which wrists take more of than necklines. Remove before washing hands, swimming, or applying lotions and perfumes. The copper will develop a living patina over time, which many people prefer. Polish gently with a soft cloth to bring back brightness. Store dry.

Every piece arrives gift-ready in natural materials with a handwritten note card. Add your message in the order notes at checkout.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each bracelet is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All bracelets are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.
Care & Patina
Copper will naturally develop a patina over time, a mark of age, energy, and individuality. To restore brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a simple lemon-and-salt paste. To preserve its aged character, simply wipe clean and let the color deepen with wear.
With a little mindful care, your jewelry will stay beautiful for years to come:
- Remove before showering, swimming, or sleeping.
- Store in a dry pouch or jewelry box to slow natural patina.
- Wipe metals gently with a soft jewelry cloth after each wear.
- Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and hair products.
- Crystals are natural and can be delicate—handle with care to avoid chips or cracks.
- Copper and brass will naturally darken over time. If you prefer a brighter finish, polish lightly with a jewelry cloth.
- For extra protection, select our lacquer option at checkout to reduce tarnish and minimize skin reactions.
Each piece is handcrafted with raw crystals and natural metals—organic changes over time add to its one-of-a-kind beauty.
