This black tourmaline ring features a genuine semi-tumbled crystal in deep black, smooth and compact, as warm copper wraps the stone completely. Small and dainty by design — it stacks beautifully with other rings or wears quietly on its own. A grounding, protective presence for daily wear, or moments when you need to feel anchored without the weight of a statement piece.

Black tourmaline is a naturally occurring boron silicate mineral, also known as Schorl. Long associated with protection and grounding. It is chosen for its deep black luster, its smooth semi-tumbled form, and its steady, anchoring energy. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.
Black Tourmaline Ring: Materials & Specifications
- Stone: Natural semi-tumbled black tourmaline, 3–6mm, deep black. Each stone is unique. Fully encased in copper.
- Metal: Electroformed copper. Bright (warm, polished shine) or Antique (rich patina, organic depth).
- Band Width: ~2mm — slim and stackable.
- Size: US 5–9 available as listed; custom sizes US 4–15 available — select “Custom” and enter your size in the order notes at checkout.

How This Handmade Gemstone Ring Is Made
Each black tourmaline ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every stone for its depth of color and smooth form, then encase it in copper using traditional electroforming techniques. Copper grows directly around the stone through an electrical process, forming the band organically. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every handmade gemstone ring from this studio is one of a kind.
Sizing
Select your US ring size at checkout. Sizes 5–9 are listed as variants; need a size outside that range? Select “Custom” and enter your size (US 4–15) in the order notes. This ring is slim and low-profile — it stacks well with other electroformed rings or worn alone as a subtle everyday piece. Between sizes? Size up for comfort. Need help? Care
Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store dry. Polish with a soft cloth to maintain shine (Bright finish) or let the patina deepen naturally (Antique finish).

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.

Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
