Two things that belong together: a crescent moon and a stone that holds the light of one. This open ring features a hand-formed copper crescent moon on one side and a 6mm labradorite cabochon on the other, electroformed in antique copper with a rich dark patina. The open band adjusts slightly for comfort. This is the larger stone version, with a 6mm labradorite for a more substantial presence on the hand. If you prefer something more delicate, the 4mm version is also available in the shop.
Labradorite is associated with intuition, transformation, and the unseen. Wear it when you need to trust what you already know.
Why Labradorite
Labradorite is a feldspar mineral known for its optical phenomenon called labradorescence, a vivid iridescent flash of blue, green, gold, and violet that appears to move as the stone shifts in light. The effect is caused by light interference between thin layers within the crystal structure. Found primarily in Labrador, Canada, as well as Madagascar and Finland. No two stones show the same flash. No mystical claims. Just one of the most visually extraordinary stones in the mineral world, with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Moon Ring Is Made
Each ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. The crescent moon is hand-formed in copper, the labradorite is hand-selected for its flash, and the band is electroformed and finished in antique copper patina. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every piece is one of a kind.
A Note on Stone Variation
Labradorite flash varies by stone and by the angle of light. The ring you receive will be similar in character to those shown, chosen for its flash quality and beauty.
Care
Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions or perfumes. Store dry. The antique copper patina will brighten gradually with wear, developing a natural aged finish over time.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina
Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
Copper Protection
Embrace the Patina
Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.
Why add lacquer?
- Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
- Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
- Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
- Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
Details:
