Some stones carry a quiet kind of power. Blue lace agate is one of them — pale, banded, and impossibly calm, it sits in a dainty electroformed copper bezel like a tiny piece of sky you can wear on your finger. This ring was made for the person who reaches for softness on hard days, who knows that stillness is its own kind of strength. A talisman for the voice you're still learning to trust.

Blue lace agate is associated with calm communication, throat chakra healing, and emotional clarity. Wear it when you need to speak your truth gently.

Why Blue Lace Agate

Blue lace agate is a banded variety of chalcedony, its signature pale blue and white layering formed through slow silica deposition in volcanic rock. Found primarily in Namibia and South Africa, it is one of the softer agates, with a smooth, waxy luster when tumbled. It is not a birthstone by traditional association, though it is widely connected to Gemini and Pisces energy. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Blue Lace Agate Ring Is Made

Each stone is hand-selected for color and banding before being set into a wax form and electroformed in copper over several hours. The process builds up layer after layer of copper around the stone, creating a bezel that is entirely unique to that piece. No molds, no casting, no mass production. Each ring is made to order and takes 4-5 business days to complete.

A Note on Stone Variation

Blue lace agate is a natural material and each stone will vary slightly in the depth of its blue, the width of its banding, and its overall shape. The ring you receive will be made with the same care and stone type shown, but will be its own one-of-a-kind piece.

Care

Blue lace agate is relatively durable but should be kept away from prolonged water exposure, harsh chemicals, and perfumes. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions. For the copper band: Bright Copper will darken naturally over time — wipe with a jewelry cloth to restore shine. Antique Copper will lighten with wear, revealing a beautiful natural patina. Store dry.

Every ring ships in a gift-ready box using natural, Earth-conscious packaging. Add a handwritten note by leaving your message in the order notes at checkout.

About Electroforming

Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.

Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.

For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina

Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.

Copper Protection

Embrace the Patina

Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.

Why add lacquer?

  • Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
  • Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
  • Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
  • Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
