Small stones hold a particular kind of quiet. This dainty ring features a raw aquamarine crystal, 3-5mm, electroformed in copper so the metal grows directly around the stone in a low organic setting that follows its natural edges. It is the kind of ring you forget you are wearing until the light catches it and reminds you it is there. Wear it alone or stack it with others. It was made for both.
Aquamarine is associated with calm, clarity, and the courage to speak honestly. March birthstone. Wear it when you need to find the right words.
Why Aquamarine
Aquamarine is a variety of beryl, the same mineral family as emerald, colored by trace amounts of iron that produce its characteristic pale blue to blue-green tone. The name comes from the Latin for seawater. Found in Brazil, Pakistan, Madagascar, and parts of Africa. A relatively durable stone at Mohs 7.5-8. Associated with the throat chakra and clear communication. March birthstone. No mystical claims. Just a genuinely beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Aquamarine Ring Is Made
Each ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every aquamarine for its color and character, then electroform copper directly around the raw stone using a slow electrical process that grows the metal into a completely one-of-a-kind setting. No mass production, no shortcuts.
A Note on Stone Variation
Raw aquamarine varies in shape, size within the 3-5mm range, and depth of color from pale icy blue to richer blue-green. The ring you receive will be similar in character to those shown, chosen for its beauty and quality.
Care
Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions or perfumes. Store dry. Polish copper with a soft jewelry cloth if desired. Aquamarine is relatively durable but avoid hard impacts on the raw stone edges.
Copper Finish Options
Bright Copper has a warm lustrous shine and will develop a natural patina over time. Polish with a soft jewelry cloth to restore brightness. Antique Copper is dipped in liver of sulfur and polished to a rich dark patina that brightens gradually with wear.
Gift Packaging
Every order arrives gift-ready with natural materials and a handwritten note card. Add your message in the order notes.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina
Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
Copper Protection
Embrace the Patina
Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.
Why add lacquer?
- Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
- Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
- Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
- Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
