Five raw garnets, set side by side in dark electroformed copper, like embers caught in earth. This ring was made for the ones who carry their fire quietly — who reach for something that feels ancient, grounded, and entirely their own. Garnet's deep red is not delicate; it is deliberate. It belongs on the hands of people who know what they want and aren't afraid to wear it.
Garnet is associated with passion, vitality, and deep inner strength. It is the birthstone for January and is connected to the root chakra. Wear it when you need to feel anchored and alive.
Why Garnet
Garnet is a silicate mineral found on nearly every continent, formed under intense heat and pressure deep within the earth. Its name comes from the Latin granatum, meaning pomegranate seed, a nod to its rich, saturated red. Most garnets range from deep burgundy to vivid crimson, with natural variation in tone and translucency from stone to stone. It is the birthstone for January and is associated with the root chakra, grounding energy, and the courage to begin again. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Garnet Ring Is Made
Each stone is hand-selected for color depth and raw character before being set into an electroformed copper band built up around it through an electrolytic process. No casting, no molds — the copper grows directly around the stone, creating a setting that is completely unique to each piece. The antique finish is applied by hand to deepen the oxidation and bring out the texture of the electroformed surface.
A Note on Stone Variation
Garnet is a natural stone and each piece will vary slightly in tone, shape, and surface texture. Your ring will be similar to the one shown but entirely one of a kind.
Care
Garnet is relatively durable but raw edges can be vulnerable to hard impacts. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions and perfumes. Store dry. The antique copper finish will develop a natural patina over time, which only deepens the character of the piece. A light buff with a soft cloth will restore the warm copper glints if desired.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina
Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
Copper Protection
Embrace the Patina
Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.
Why add lacquer?
- Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
- Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
- Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
- Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
