Garnet Copper Ring — January Birthstone, Handmade by Blackbird & Sage
Like a winter ember warmed by desert sun, this garnet copper ring carries quiet fire and grounding grace. Handcrafted with intention, the deep red garnet and organic copper weave a botanical, bohemian energy that feels both rooted and luminous — a piece for ritual, presence, and simple everyday magic.
- Stone: 7 x 5 mm teardrop garnet cabochon — rich, deep red with warm clarity
- Metal: Solid copper band, electroformed for an organic, sculpted finish
- Size & Fit: Comfortable band designed for wearability and stacking; available in multiple sizes (please refer to size options)
- Style: Botanical bohemian — hand-textured copper vines and leaf-like details embrace the gem
- Handmade Process: Individually electroformed by artisan Marie in Santa Fe, NM — each ring is one-of-a-kind, finished and polished by hand
- Use Case: A January birthstone ring, thoughtful gift for her, a talisman for grounding, or a striking addition to a stacking set
Handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico, this Garnet Copper Ring is designed for spiritual, free-spirited individuals who cherish ritual, nature, and a grounded connection to Earth. The electroformed copper develops a living patina over time, deepening the story of the piece as you wear it.
Wear it as a talisman, layer it with other favorites, or gift it to someone who walks the wild path — let this garnet ring hold a place in your rituals and moments of quiet power.

JEWELRY LACQUER OPTION
All of my copper rings are crafted without a lacquer coating by default, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty and potential healing properties of copper. For those who prefer a protective finish, I also offer the application of a high-quality jewelry lacquer to help reduce skin contact and slow patina development. This optional protective coating can be added to any copper ring for $5.
HELP WITH RING SIZING / CHOOSING A CUSTOM RING SIZE
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR RING SIZE AT HOME:
There are a couple of easy ways you can measure your ring size at home.
CUSTOM RING SIZES:
If your ring size isn’t listed, choose Custom and add your exact size in the Order Special Instructions at checkout. I offer handmade rings in sizes 1–16, including quarter and half sizes, so you can get a perfect, personalized fit.
LEAD TIME & SHIPPING
Each piece is handcrafted with care, and processing times vary depending on the design. Ready-to-ship items leave the studio within 1–3 business days, while made-to-order designs take 3–5 business days before shipping. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To keep your electroformed jewelry beautiful, avoid wearing it while swimming, showering, or exercising, as water and chemicals can damage both metal and stone. Store your ring in a cool, dry place, ideally in a jewelry pouch, to protect it from scratches and moisture. Copper naturally develops a patina over time — you can let it age gracefully or gently polish it with a soft cloth if you prefer a brighter finish.
MATERIALS & METALS
Each ring is created through the process of electroforming, where pure copper is bonded layer by layer around the stone and design. Copper is the base metal for all of my electroformed rings, chosen for its earthy beauty and grounding energy. Some pieces may be finished with patinas, sealants, or optional jewelry lacquer for added protection.
Every ring is one-of-a-kind, with textures and details that naturally form during this organic process.
STONE & CRYSTAL DETAILS
I work with a variety of raw and polished crystals, gemstones, and cabochons, each hand-selected for its beauty and unique energy. Because every stone is natural, variations in color, shape, and pattern are expected — and celebrated. These organic differences ensure that your ring is truly one-of-a-kind, carrying both the artistry of nature and the intention of handcrafted design.
