How This Handmade Silver Labradorite Ring Is Made

Each ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every labradorite teardrop for its flash quality and colour depth, then encase it in copper using traditional electroforming techniques before applying a bright silver-plate finish. Copper grows directly around the stone through an electrical process, forming the band organically. No mass production. Every ring is one of a kind.

A Note on Stone Variation

Labradorite is a natural stone. Each teardrop varies in the intensity, direction, and colour of its flash — some lean more blue, others show gold or teal alongside the blue. Your ring will be similar to the one shown but beautifully, unmistakably its own.

Care

Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store dry. Labradorite has a delicate cleavage — treat gently to avoid impacts. Polish with a soft cloth to maintain the silver shine. Silver-plate can develop a warm patina over time.
