A large raw Facet A grade citrine crystal, natural, untreated, and unheated, pale golden and internally fractured with light, sits wide against the finger in this statement ring. The band is substantial, copper grown flush against every organic edge of the stone, warm and unmistakable. A daily anchor for clarity, forward motion, and the energy of what you are building.

Citrine is associated with abundance, solar plexus activation, and mental clarity. The November birthstone. Wear it when you need to feel clear, warm, and in motion.

Why Citrine

Citrine is a variety of quartz colored by trace amounts of iron, ranging from pale yellow to deep amber gold. Formed in igneous and metamorphic rock, often found alongside amethyst in the same deposits. Long associated with clarity, optimism, and abundance across cultures. November birthstone. Solar plexus chakra. The stone of forward motion and warm, focused energy.

Most citrine on the market is heat-treated amethyst, purple quartz artificially turned golden through high-temperature processing. The stones used in this studio are natural, untreated, unheated Facet A grade citrine: genuine golden quartz with its original color, clarity, and mineral integrity fully intact. That distinction matters both for quality and for honesty.

No mystical claims. Just a genuinely rare and beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Ring Is Made

Each large citrine ring is made to order in a small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every raw Facet A grade crystal for its natural warmth and form, then grow copper directly around the stone through an electroforming process, following every edge and surface exactly. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every ring is one of a kind.

Sizing

Select your US ring size at checkout (US 4-15 available). Due to the wide band and large stone, size up if you are between sizes as the band requires a little more room to slide over the knuckle. Need help? Email hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com and I'll guide you through it.

Care

Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store dry. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade citrine's golden color over time. Polish copper with a soft cloth to maintain warmth or let the patina deepen naturally with wear.

Gift Packaging

Every order arrives gift-ready with natural materials and a handwritten note card. Add your message in the order notes.

Shipping and Returns

  • Processing: Approximately one week, made to order.
  • Shipping: USPS First Class with tracking.
  • Returns: Accepted within 30 days, unworn, in original packaging. Buyer pays return shipping.

About Electroforming

Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.

Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.

For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina

Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.

Copper Protection

Embrace the Patina

Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.

Why add lacquer?

  • Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
  • Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
  • Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
  • Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry

Details:

  • Optional upgrade available for $5
  • Applied directly to your copper ring, cuff, or bracelet before shipping
  • Clear finish — no change to the look or feel of your piece
