A clear, sky-pale light blue topaz cabochon, smooth and cool as still water, cradled in the inner curve of an electroformed copper crescent. The moon holds the light. This light blue topaz crescent moon ring is small in scale and large in presence, the kind of piece you put on in the morning and carry quietly all day. The icy blue against warm antique copper is a contrast that feels both calm and grounded. The open adjustable band fits a wide range of sizes and settles comfortably on any finger you choose for it. For the one who wants a reminder to speak clearly, stay steady, and breathe.
Blue topaz is associated with calm, clarity, and honest communication. It is a throat chakra stone. December birthstone. Wear it when you need to feel clear and at ease.
Why Blue Topaz
Topaz is a hard silicate mineral, 8 on the Mohs scale, found in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, and beyond. Natural topaz is usually colorless or faintly tinted, and most light blue topaz on the market has its soft sky color enhanced through a stable treatment process, which gives it that clean, luminous blue. Blue topaz is a modern December birthstone. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful, durable stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Blue Topaz Moon Ring Is Made
Each topaz is hand-selected for its clarity and smooth dome before the copper crescent is built up around it through an electrolytic electroforming process. The copper grows around the stone and setting organically, creating a textured surface that is unique to each piece. The antique finish deepens the warmth of the copper and sets off the cool glow of the blue topaz. No mass production, every ring is one of a kind.
A Note on Stone Variation
Each topaz cabochon varies slightly in depth of blue and clarity. Your ring will be similar to the one shown but entirely one of a kind.
Care
Topaz is hard but can chip or split with a sharp knock, so avoid hard impacts. Keep it away from high heat and prolonged strong sunlight to protect its color. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions and perfumes. Store dry. The antique copper finish will develop a natural patina over time, deepening the character of the piece.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina
Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
Copper Protection
Embrace the Patina
Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.
Why add lacquer?
- Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
- Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
- Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
- Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
