How These Handmade Stacking Rings Are Made

Each set is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. Every band is individually formed and hand-hammered, creating subtle variation in texture and light. Copper grows directly around the form through an electrical process where applicable; brass and silver bands are shaped and finished by hand. No mass production, no shortcuts. Slight variations in texture and finish are part of the handmade process and make each ring uniquely yours.

Why It Works

Real materials that develop character over time. Copper warms and deepens. Silver catches the light. Brass holds its golden glow. Lightweight, durable, and built to move with you. Stack them when you need steadiness. Wear one alone when you need simplicity.

Care

Remove before swimming, showering, or applying harsh chemicals. Copper and brass will naturally patina over time, deepening in color and character. To restore shine, gently polish with a soft cloth. Silver can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth.

About Electroforming

Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.

Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.

For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina

Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.

Copper Protection

Embrace the Patina

Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.

Why add lacquer?

  • Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
  • Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
  • Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
  • Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry

Details:
