There's something about a carnelian that feels like it was pulled straight from a desert sunset. This electroformed copper ring holds a genuine tumbled carnelian, averaging 5-8mm, in an organic setting that wraps the stone the way nature intended. No two stones are the same — color ranges from pale peachy apricot to deep brick red, and each one carries its own warmth. It's a ring that earns its place in a stack or holds its own worn alone.
Carnelian is associated with vitality, creativity, courage, and motivation. July birthstone. Wear it when you need a spark.
Why Carnelian
Carnelian is a variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz, colored by iron oxide into its signature warm orange-red range. It has been used as a talisman stone across cultures for thousands of years, prized for its warmth and grounding energy. Associated with the 1st through 4th chakras, it's linked to physical energy, personal power, creativity, and compassion. July birthstone. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Carnelian Ring Is Made
Each ring begins with hand-selecting a tumbled carnelian stone for color and character. The stone is then electroformed in copper, a process where copper is slowly deposited around the stone through an electrical current, building up an organic, textured setting that no mold could replicate. Rings are made to order and take approximately 4-5 business days to create. Not mass produced.
A Note on Stone Variation
Carnelian is a natural stone. Color ranges from pale peachy orange to deep brick red, and each stone has its own shape and surface. The ring you receive will be similar to the photos in style and quality, but the exact stone will be unique to your piece.
Care
Carnelian is relatively durable but avoid prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals or perfumes. For the copper: Bright Copper will darken naturally over time and can be brightened with a jewelry cloth. Antique Copper will lighten with wear, revealing a beautiful natural patina. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions. Store dry.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina
Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
Copper Protection
Embrace the Patina
Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.
Why add lacquer?
- Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
- Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
- Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
- Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
