Bright lime green peridot, glassy and luminous, set in the curve of an electroformed copper crescent. Peridot is one of those stones that holds the light differently depending on the angle, shifting between vivid yellow-green and deeper olive, and against warm antique copper it reads fresh and alive. This is a ring for the ones who are drawn to color that feels botanical, something green and growing and genuinely of the earth. The open adjustable band fits a wide range of sizes and the delicate scale works beautifully worn alone or stacked.

Peridot is associated with renewal, growth, and positive energy. It is a heart chakra stone, connected to compassion, abundance, and clarity of purpose. August birthstone. Wear it when you need to feel renewed, open, and clear.

Why Peridot

Peridot is the gem variety of the mineral olivine, one of the most abundant minerals in the earth's mantle and found in volcanic basalt, meteorites, and even comet dust. Its vivid yellow-green color comes entirely from iron in its crystal structure, making it one of the few gemstones that occurs in only one color. Major sources include Arizona, Pakistan, Myanmar, and Egypt. Peridot has been prized since ancient Egypt, where it was called the gem of the sun. It is also the August birthstone. No mystical claims. Just a genuinely vibrant and ancient stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Peridot Moon Ring Is Made

Each peridot cabochon is hand-selected for its vivid color and glassy clarity before the copper crescent is built up around it through an electrolytic electroforming process. The copper grows organically around the stone and setting, creating a granular textured surface completely unique to each piece. The antique finish warms the copper and creates a natural contrast with the bright green stone.

A Note on Stone Variation

Peridot is a natural stone and each cabochon will vary slightly in depth of green, from bright lime to warmer olive tones, depending on iron content. Your ring will be similar to the one shown but entirely one of a kind.

Care

Peridot is relatively durable but avoid hard impacts. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions and perfumes. Store dry and away from prolonged direct sunlight. The antique copper finish will develop a natural patina over time, deepening the character of the piece.

About Electroforming

Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.

Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.

For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina

Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.

Copper Protection

Embrace the Patina

Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.

Why add lacquer?

  • Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
  • Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
  • Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
  • Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
