Rhodolite is not a stone that whispers. It is a raspberry-to-plum garnet from the volcanic soils of Tanzania, translucent and glassy, with color that shifts depending on the light. Set in an electroformed bezel in your choice of bright or antique copper finish, each raw stone is held as it was found, nothing cut, nothing polished into something it is not. For the woman who wants a ring that feels like it was made for her specifically, because it was.

Rhodolite garnet is associated with emotional healing, self-worth, and inspired love. The January birthstone. Wear it when you need to feel seen.

Why Raw Rhodolite Garnet from Tanzania

Rhodolite is a variety of pyrope-almandine garnet prized for its vivid raspberry-to-deep-plum color and exceptional clarity. Tanzanian rhodolite is particularly sought after for its rich color saturation and glassy translucency. The raw uncut stones used in these rings display their natural fractured faces and crystal form, including the color zoning and internal depth that disappears when stones are faceted and polished. Each stone is hand-selected. No two are the same color, size, or shape, and that is entirely the point.

How This Handmade Rhodolite Ring Is Made

Each stone is hand-selected for color and form. Using a low electrical current in an electrolyte bath, copper ions are slowly fused onto the prepared stone surface, building up a completely unique bezel layer by layer. The process is slow by design. Imperfections, striations, and texture in the metal are inherent to electroforming and are part of what makes each ring entirely its own. This is not mass production.

A Note on Stone Variation

Raw rhodolite garnets vary in size, shape, and color depth from raspberry pink to deep violet-plum. The photographs show the quality and color range you can expect. Your exact stone will vary. Each ring is an original.

About Electroforming

Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.

Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.

For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina

Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.

Copper Protection

Embrace the Patina

Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.

Why add lacquer?

  • Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
  • Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
  • Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
  • Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
