There is something deeply grounding about wearing a stone in its most honest form. This ring is built around a raw red garnet dodecahedral nugget, the naturally faceted twelve-sided crystal form garnet grows in when the earth has taken its time. Set in a deep electroformed copper bezel, the stone's dark opaque red held close, like something that belongs to you. For the woman who does not want something polished into submission.
Garnet is associated with passion, vitality, and grounded courage. The January birthstone and traditional gift for 2nd anniversaries. Wear it when you need to feel rooted and alive.
Why Raw Red Garnet
Red garnet is one of the oldest and most deeply symbolic stones in the mineral world, known for its rich dark color and natural geometric crystal form. It grows in a dodecahedral habit, twelve symmetrical diamond-shaped faces meeting in an almost geometric perfection. These stones are fully opaque with a matte, raw surface that catches light only at the edges, revealing a deep dark red beneath the surface. Each nugget is hand-selected for color depth and crystal form. No two are identical. The variation is not a flaw; it is the stone.

How This Handmade Red Garnet Ring Is Made
Each stone is hand-selected for its dodecahedral form and color depth. Copper is electroformed directly around the raw red garnet nugget in a slow electrodeposition process that builds up the metal layer by layer, capturing every facet and natural edge of the stone. No two rings are identical. This is not mass production. This is one ring made for one person.
A Note on Stone Variation
Raw red garnet nuggets vary naturally in size, depth of color, and crystal face expression. The photographs are representative of the stone quality and form you will receive, not the exact specimen. Each ring is its own original.

Care
Garnet is durable but raw edges can be more vulnerable to hard impacts. Remove before washing hands, swimming, or applying lotion. Store dry. For copper: bright copper will darken naturally over time; wipe with a jewelry cloth to restore shine. Antique copper will lighten with wear, developing a beautiful natural patina.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina
Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
Copper Protection
Embrace the Patina
Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.
Why add lacquer?
- Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
- Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
- Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
- Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
