Seven raw garnets, deep and dark as dried roses, arranged in a chevron V and set in silver-plated electroformed copper. Garnet's color is not transparent or glassy in its raw form, it is opaque and saturated, a solid burgundy-red that reads like something ancient and deliberate. The cool silver of the settings holds each stone individually, oxidized between the cups so the garnet reads darker and richer against it. This is a ring with weight to it, in the best possible sense.
Garnet is associated with passion, protection, and grounding. It is the birthstone for January and is connected to the root chakra. Wear it when you need courage, steadiness, or a reminder of your own strength.
Why Garnet
Garnet is a group of silicate minerals found on every continent, in a range of colors from deep red to green to orange, though the most recognized variety is the deep burgundy-red almandine. Raw garnet in this form is opaque and richly colored, carrying the full depth of that color without the glassiness of a faceted stone. Garnet is the birthstone for January and is associated with the root chakra, passion, and protection. It has been used as a gemstone and talisman for more than five thousand years, found in the jewelry of ancient Egypt, Rome, and Persia. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a very long history.
Raw Garnet Chevron Ring: Materials & Specifications
- Stone: Raw rough garnet, deep opaque burgundy-red, solid color with natural surface texture. Seven stones arranged in a V-chevron shape.
- Stone size: Approximately 3-4mm each
- Setting: Individual electroformed silver-plated cup settings, each stone nestled in its own formed cup with organic oxidized texture
- Metal: Electroformed copper base with multiple layers of silver plate built up for a thick, durable finish. The electroforming process builds the metal directly around each stone for a completely custom fit. Oxidized recesses between stone cups for depth and contrast.
- Plating: Several passes through the silver bath create a substantially thicker silver layer than standard plating, for better wear resistance and a more solid silver appearance.

- Collection: Birthstone Chevron Ring Collection
- Origin: Handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico
How This Handmade Garnet Ring Is Made
Each stone is hand-selected for color depth and raw character before the ring is built up around it through an electrolytic copper electroforming process. The copper grows directly around each stone, creating a setting completely unique to each piece. The chevron shape is formed by hand, then the ring is passed through the silver bath multiple times to build up a thick, substantial silver layer over the copper base. The recessed areas are oxidized to create contrast and depth between each stone cup.
A Note on Stone Variation
Garnet is a natural stone and each piece will vary slightly in tone and surface texture. Your ring will be similar to the one shown but entirely one of a kind.
Care
Garnet is a relatively durable stone. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions and perfumes. Store dry. The multi-layer silver-plated finish is more durable than standard plating and will hold up well with normal wear. A light buff with a silver polishing cloth will restore the bright silver surfaces if desired.
