Deep red, near-burgundy, with internal fracture planes that catch light unexpectedly. Set in an antique copper electroformed bezel, the aged finish pulls the warmth of the stone forward. On an 18 or 20 inch chain, it sits right at the sternum, which is exactly where it belongs.

Almandine is the deep red variety of garnet and the most common form of the January birthstone. It forms naturally in a dodecahedral crystal habit, twelve symmetrical diamond-shaped faces that give raw specimens their geometric, almost architectural quality. The stones used in these pendants are uncut and unpolished, retaining their natural fracture faces and internal depth. Color ranges from rich burgundy-red to near-black at the deepest faces. How This Handmade Garnet Necklace Is Made
Each stone is hand-selected for its dodecahedral form and depth of color. Copper is electroformed directly around the raw almandine garnet in a slow electrodeposition process that builds up metal layer by layer, capturing every natural edge and crystal face. The antique finish is applied using liver of sulfur, then hand-polished to reveal the warm copper highlights beneath. No two pendants are identical. This is not mass production.

Every piece is shaped by hand through the slow process of electroforming — a melding of earth, metal, and time that creates unique textures and forms.
All metals are nickel-free and sealed for comfortable, daily wear. Slight variations in color, texture, or patina are natural signs of the handmade process — each one-of-a-kind, just like its wearer.
Chain Options
