Why Raw Peridot

Peridot is a magnesium iron silicate mineral, one of the few gemstones that forms in only one color: olive to lime green, its intensity determined by iron content. Found in volcanic basalt, meteorites, and the American Southwest. The August birthstone, long associated with the heart chakra (Anahata), personal growth, and warmth in relationships. Chosen here in its raw, unpolished form so the crystal's natural geometry and color are fully preserved. No mystical claims. Just one of the most vivid green minerals on earth.

How This Handmade Peridot Ring Is Made

Each raw peridot ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every raw crystal for its color and natural form, then encase it in copper using traditional electroforming techniques. Copper grows directly around the stone through an electrical process, following every surface of the raw peridot exactly. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every ring from this studio is one of a kind.

Care

Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store dry. Peridot is sensitive to acids and harsh chemicals, so keep away from perfumes and cleaning products. Copper may develop a natural patina over time. Bright Copper will darken gradually and can be brightened with a soft jewelry cloth. Antique Copper has a rich dark patina applied with Liver of Sulfur and will lighten naturally with wear. Copper may cause temporary skin discoloration in some wearers due to body chemistry. This is harmless and washes off easily.
