Some stones stop you. This one is that stone — a single raw chunk of Sonoran turquoise, vivid sky-blue with dark natural matrix, electroformed in copper so the metal grows organically around the stone rather than holding it in a fabricated setting. The result is a ring that feels ancient and alive at the same time. For the person who wants one perfect thing on their hand.
Turquoise is associated with protection, wisdom, and clear communication. December birthstone. Wear it when you need to feel grounded and seen.
Why Turquoise
One of the oldest gemstones in human history, Sonoran turquoise comes from the copper-rich desert regions of northern Mexico and the American Southwest. Its vivid sky-blue to teal color comes from copper and iron minerals in the host rock — the dark veining you see is the natural matrix, the surrounding rock left behind. No two pieces are identical. December birthstone. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Turquoise Ring Is Made
Each ring begins with hand-selecting a raw Sonoran turquoise chunk for color, matrix pattern, and shape. The stone is then electroformed, a process where copper is slowly deposited around the stone through an electrical current, growing organically around the base rather than being pressed or cast into a mold. No two rings are identical. One of a kind.
A Note on Stone Variation
Sonoran turquoise varies naturally in color from sky-blue to teal-blue, and matrix patterns range from fine dark veining to bold graphic lines. Your ring will be similar in color and character to the photos but unique to your stone.
Care
Turquoise is porous, avoid prolonged water exposure, chemicals, and perfumes. Put your ring on last. Remove before washing hands, swimming, or applying lotions. Store dry. Copper will develop a natural patina over time; polish gently with a soft cloth to restore shine, or let it age naturally.

About Electroforming
Electroforming is an ancient technique reimagined for modern jewelry.
Copper molecules bond to each stone over several hours, creating organic textures and secure settings. Learn more about our process.
Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Care & Patina
Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
Copper Protection
Embrace the Patina
Some collectors love the rich, aged look that copper develops over time. This natural patina tells a story—of adventures taken, energies absorbed, and the passage of time. If you resonate with that earthy, vintage look, feel free to let your copper evolve organically.
Why add lacquer?
- Slows the natural darkening (patina) of copper
- Minimizes the chance of skin reactions
- Keeps copper looking brighter for longer
- Protects while preserving the earthy character of your jewelry
