How This Handmade Turquoise Ring Is Made

Each stone is hand-selected for color, matrix character, and raw surface before the ring is built up around it through an electrolytic copper electroforming process. The copper grows directly around each stone, creating a setting completely unique to each piece. The chevron shape is formed by hand, then the ring is passed through the silver bath multiple times to build up a thick, substantial silver layer over the copper base. The recessed areas are oxidized to create contrast and depth between each stone cup.

A Note on Stone Variation

Turquoise is a natural stone and each piece will vary in color intensity, matrix pattern, and surface texture. No two turquoise chevron rings will be identical. Your ring will be similar to the one shown but entirely one of a kind.

Care

Turquoise is a porous stone. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions, perfumes, and chemicals. Avoid prolonged exposure to water. Store dry. The multi-layer silver-plated finish is more durable than standard plating and will hold up well with normal wear. A light buff with a silver polishing cloth will restore the bright silver surfaces if desired. Do not use chemical silver dips, which can damage the turquoise.
