Tiger's eye is a naturally occurring chatoyant quartz, its golden bands formed by the replacement of crocidolite fibers with silica. Long associated with focus and courage. It is chosen for its warm golden-brown depth, its silky cat's eye shimmer, and its steady, grounding energy. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Gemstone Ring Is Made
Each tiger's eye ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every stone for its chatoyancy and warm color, then encase it in copper using traditional electroforming techniques. Copper grows directly around the stone through an electrical process, forming the band organically. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every handmade gemstone ring from this studio is one of a kind.
Sizing
Select your US ring size at checkout. Sizes 5–9 are listed as variants; need a size outside that range? Select “Custom” and enter your size (US 4–15) in the order notes. Between sizes? Size up for comfort. Need help? Email hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com and I’ll guide you through it.
Care
Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store dry. Polish with a soft cloth to maintain shine (Bright finish) or let the patina deepen naturally (Antique finish). Tiger's eye is durable at 7 Mohs — treat gently to preserve the copper band.

Each ring is electroformed in pure copper, a process that uses electricity to slowly grow metal over organic forms, stone, or wax-carved bases.
This ancient-meets-modern technique creates natural textures and one-of-a-kind variations — no two pieces will ever be the same.
All rings are nickel-free, can be sealed for daily wear, and finished by hand in our Santa Fe studio.
For centuries, copper has been worn as a grounding element — believed to balance energy, support circulation, and keep the wearer anchored in presence. It reminds us of our connection to the earth and our ability to return to stillness.

Electroformed copper develops a natural patina over time — deepening into warm, earthy tones that tell the story of your wear.
To maintain brightness, polish gently with a soft cloth or a touch of lemon and salt.
To preserve the aged finish, simply wipe clean and store in a dry place.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or applying lotions, as moisture may alter the patina over time.
